How much do you charge to build a website?

The cost of our websites varies widely. Most range between $3000 and $10,000. If you have no money in your budget for a custom website solution, we may be able to steer you in a do-it-yourself direction where you can save money. However you will have to spend time and energy in a steep learning curve.

Do I have to pay a monthly fee for your services?

Yes. At Max Height Web Solutions, we partner with our clients. We become your IT (Internet Technology) department. We not only design and develop your website, we also host, manage and maintain it. We are not a “build it and abandon you” type of web development agency. We are in this for YOUR success as well as our own. Your monthly fee will vary depending on the type of website you need. Most of our web hosting and maintenance plans range between $100/mo and $600/mo.

What’s the difference between website design and website development?

There is a lot of confusion and blending of these two terms.
Website design is the art of designing the visual appearance of a website.
Website development, is the building or coding of the website. This includes installing it on a server, linking all the pages together, creating all the functionality so that everything works together, optimizing it for mobile devices, etc...

Will people be able to find my website on a Google search?

Yes! Your website will be listed with Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines. The better question is: “For what KEYWORD(S) will my site appear on the first page?”This involves a technique called SEO (search engine optimization). Most good and relevant keywords have VERY high competition from very large companies who spend thousands of dollars monthly to assure their brand stays on the first page. There are some hidden “gems”, however, that can be uncovered with the right kind of keyword research.

What is “Digital Marketing”?

The process of marketing and promoting a business on the internet. There are several components which make up an effective digital marketing strategy: website, email list, blog, SEO, social media, paid ads.

How much do you charge for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?

Basic SEO is included in the cost of your website and monthly hosting/maintenance fee. More advanced SEO techniques are available from our partner Social SEO.

Can I move my website to another host?

Yes. Simply let us know when you would like the move to happen and who your new host is. We will condense (zip) your entire website and database and place it in a DropBox folder with your access. You will have two weeks to download it. Your new host should be able to install it on your new server.

Can I make changes and updates to my website?

Yes. Your website will be built on the WordPress platform which allows changes and modifications without needing to use HTML, CSS or JavaScript. The cost of your website will include 2 hours of training on how to edit your website yourself.
REMEMBER, however, that you have one hour of updates every month as part of your monthly hosting and management plan.

How much will you charge me to make changes and updates to my website?

You get one hour of updates every month as part of your monthly hosting and management plan. If your updates take longer than one hour, you will be bill at the discounted rate of $50/hour (30% off the normal rate of $70/hour).

What do I do if I have changes to my website?

Call or email your changes and we will take care of it. We will always let you know if the changes/updates will take longer than the one hour included in your plan.
